Personality:
Winnie is your typical, average, girl next door. Well, that could basically sum her up. She is generally a sweet girl, but not without her own set of attitude. As nice as sweet as Winnie could be, testing her is not something you would want to do unless if you want to ended up finding yourself hexed into oblivion. Contrary to popular beliefs, Winnie can take care of herself quite well. Being the only child of a couple of messed up parents (the whole can't live with, can't live without scenario), Winnie had to learn quickly how to survive. She is not without her sarcastic retorts and sharp answers for a respond. Though, her sarcasm and attitude are something that had been overlooked from time to time due to her sweet nature. She is the kind of girl who wouldn't mind helping out when needed, who would stay back to clean the class, who would help someone cross the road, etc.

Character/Family History:
Sean McKinley and Jordana Young are a couple of people who you would simply wish could get over themselves and move on. They were the kind of couple that makes you sick to your stomach and wonder why do they even stick around each other long enough to reproduce. Yet, they did. Going back, trying to make sense of how the epic story of Sean McKinley and Jordana Young would be fairly tiring and time consuming, not to mention completely unnecessary. They are just that couple - the couple of people who basically ruin everything the come in contact with -- even themselves as they can't help it -- or so they claim to be. So, let's keep it short, Sean is a pureblood wizard and Jordana is a simple not-so-down to earth muggleborn witch. Their path crossed at Hogwarts and fast forward after the whole breaking up, making up and so on, by the time they were both eighteen, they had a child, a baby girl.

Here comes the story of Winnifred Bianca McKinley. Winnie was born on a hot summer day, mid July where everyone would much rather stay in a tub, soaking themselves in cold water. It was a crazy afternoon to begin with and it took Jordana almost ten hours before finally getting there, giving birth to Winnifred. Her arrival was not planned, it was into her parents short marriage -- it was only the matter of months and everyone who knew better just knew that the couple had hit rock bottom. Some cursed them for bringing another life into the world while they are messed up themselves. Others, well, they just hoped for the best. Winnie's grandmother; Tabitha McKinley was hoping for such miracle. Well, we'll save another long story -- she didn't get her miracle. She ended up having a y0ung baby girl -- less than an hour old dumped onto her lap just as soon as she got to St. Mungo. It was not a sight an elderly woman was hoping for. Yet, it was what had happened.

To put it simply, Winnie's parents' marriage ended around the same hour of her birth. Her mother simply took a hike and left and her father couldn't care less about her existence. Anyone who had hoped for the best was crushed and anyone who were taking bets was going -- figures... Still, it was nothing to Winnie as she was a very fortunate girl indeed. Despite the drama on her birth, she ended up in a lovely home -- her grandmother's. She was dearly loved by her grandmother, adored and well-taught. There was just one thing that annoyed her -- her name. Winnifred Bianca. It was not a name any young girl was ever very fond of, especially when she was to be called from afar whenever it's time for dinner. It was like a routine, even when Winnie tried to get home before dinner time after playing with her friends from the neighbourhood. It would be "WINNIFRED~!" Booming across the lawn every single day she chose to stay out that by the time she was eleven, she had grown very tired of the sound of her own name.

Lucky for her, the year with the grandmother was to be cut short as she received a letter from Hogwarts shortly after her eleventh birthday. Hogwarts, the school where her parents had gone to when they were her age. The school where their whole life drama and the beginning of their downfall started. Winnie's first thought was; oh great, throw in the coyote in as well. Though, after giving it some thought, she decided that it was probably not a bad idea at all to attend, to see what it would be like and perhaps she wouldn't have to ended up where her parents did and doesn't have to deal with too much dramatic scene -- God knows she had too much of that to last her a lifetime and funnily enough, majority of it happened before she was even born -- courtesy of her parents. The things parents could do to destroy their child really.

As it turned out, Hogwarts wasn't such a bad place for Winnie. She had her shot at being normal and eventually growing tired of the sound of her name all over again. She had the chance to laugh, make friends and irritate and getting her irritated. Her life at Hogwarts was something of a stark contrast compare to her parents and it was something she had always been glad of.
