Student Guidance Counsellors
These adults often assist in comforting as well as guiding students through problems such as death in the family, troubled students, or merely advising on career options for the fifth year students as they attempt to decide a career path.
Professors
Professors are adults who teach the youth of Hogwarts and uphold rules both inside and out of the classroom. These men and women are responsible for teaching every student what is necessary to succeed outside Hogwarts' walls.
Substitute Professors
Professors who cover classes for others who are unable to tend to their class rather it be maternity leave, illness, lengthy personal absences, etc.
Quidditch Coach
The quidditch coach observes practice sessions and serves as another instructor to those who seek it at Hogwarts. Often the referee in matches among the houses, the coach interacts most often with the house team captains.
Doctors/Nurses
Just as it sounds doctors and nurses are Hogwarts' staff to go to for illnesses and injuries. Not a place to go to fake being ill, however.
Librarians
When venturing to the library you'll be met with librarians offering their assistance finding anything from its depths from a specific book or section to a broad range of them for homework needs.
Groundskeeper
The groundskeeper are responsible for maintaining the grounds as well as looking out for its inhabitants. The groundskeeper also provides some decorations for the castles holidays such as giant pumpkins and Christmas trees.
Caretaker
The caretaker is responsible for providing care and maintenance to the castle.
*Healer
A Healer is the wizarding world equivalent of a Muggle doctor. They tend to the sick and injured at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, which is England's wizarding community's primary hospital.
*Mediwizard
A mediwizard is the wizarding equivalent to a medic. Mediwizards work at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. Mediwizards are also field doctors and they tend to injuries at events such as Quidditch Games, Magical Tournaments and other Wizarding Events although they do not attend quidditch matches at Hogwarts.
Guardian
Guardians work independently from the Ministry of Magic and have their own governing body. They are responsible for protecting witches and wizards, usually of a high social class but also making more of a public appearance in the villages and other areas surrounding Hogwarts in light of recent events, against threats against muggles and on some occasions even other witches and wizards who had sided with the Warriors of the Light using no magic unless absolutely necessary.
*Auror
An Auror is a member of an elite unit of highly-trained, specialist officers within the Department of Magical Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Magic trained to investigate crimes related to the Dark Arts, and apprehend or detain Dark wizards and witches.
Bounty Hunter
Bounty Hunters are witches and wizards responsible for capturing and turning in others who have broken the law in exchange for a reward. Their job is often dangerous and time consuming but very rewarding. Bounty Hunters can work individually or in a team and in cases where several work together, they are coordinated from a central hub inside the Ministry of Magic building.
*Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures is the second largest Department in the Ministry of Magic. It is divided into three divisions named after the three categorisations of magical creatures: Being, Beast and Spirit. It also houses the liaison offices for Goblins and Centaurs.
*Department of International Magical Cooperation
The Department of International Magical Cooperation is a division of the Ministry of Magic which, as its name suggests, tries to get wizards from different countries to work together. It is closest to the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office in the Muggle World. The duties of this department are to work with magical governments of other countries, set standards for trade, create regulations for things like cauldron thickness, interpret international magical law, work with Department of Magical Games and Sports on the Triwizard Tournament, be present at the International Confederation of Wizards, British Seats.
*Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes
The Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes is responsible for repairing accidental magical damage. This department includes the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad and Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee.
*Department of Magical Games and Sports
The Department of Magical Games and Sports is a department of the Ministry of Magic. It is charged with the regulation of all sport-related events in the Wizarding world. It is roughly the equivalent to the real-life British Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
Dragon Riders
Dragon riders are the newest addition to the Ministry of Magic. They ride and care for the dragon population and the untrained wizards and witches who attempt to approach them. Some dragons, such as the Hungarian Horntail, are untrainable. Dragon riders are always on hand to help out Aurors, Bounty Hunters and Hitwizards on particularly dangerous assignments and have been known to work completely independently as well. Be warned, however, that a dragon egg will only hatch when it has found the rider destined to take up that role.
*Hitwizard
A Hitwizard or Hitwitch is a highly trained member of the Magical Law Enforcement Patrol, tasked with arresting dangerous criminals.
*Magical Law Enforcement Patrol
The Magical Law Enforcement Patrol (formerly the Magical Law Enforcement Squad) is tasked with general law enforcement, like with the Muggle police.
Ministry Liaison to Gringotts
These Ministry/Gringotts employees work directly with goblins and the human clerks regarding curses, as well as security measures. They often relay messages to the Ministry about found artefacts and relics, especially those with historical relevance.
*Muggle Liaison Office
The Muggle Liaison Office is a division of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes which is responsible for wizard-Muggle relations. Given the lack of Muggle awareness of the wizarding world, in accordance with the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy of 1692, the Muggle Liaison Office fulfils its duties in a very one-sided manner. Those who work in Muggle Relations work with this office.
*Obliviator
An Obliviator is an employee of the Ministry of Magic tasked with keeping the Wizarding world hidden from Muggles, as per the Statute of Secrecy. Obliviators perform Memory Charms on any Muggle witnesses who happen to see something they should not, such as seeing a magical creature.
Researcher
Researchers are responsible for undertaking a lot of the leg work for different departments. They work alongside the Aurors, Bounty Hunters, Hitwizards and other members of staff to give them all the information they need before going out on their assignments.
Secretary
Secretaries are personal assistants to the departments. They file notes and send memos to other departments as required as well as undertaking various other tasks and security clearance depending on the department they work for.
*Unspeakable
An Unspeakable is a wizard or witch who works in the Ministry of Magic's Department of Mysteries. Little is known about their workplace, and even less is known about their jobs. Employees of the Department of Mysteries are forbidden from discussing their jobs or disclosing any information about their department, hence the name "Unspeakable." Some may study love in the Love Chamber, which, according to Albus Dumbledore, is kept locked at all times, or the concept of time in the Time Room, where the Ministry's stock of Time-Turners was stored prior to being destroyed during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries; others may explore the nature of thoughts in the Thought Chamber, or death in the Death Chamber, where Harry's Godfather was killed.
WCSI
Short for Wizarding Crime Scene Investigation, these members specialise in discovering evidence necessary to pinpoint the perpetrator of crimes, especially murders, and corroborate witness' accounts. These members may work and be in contact with the Auror, Bounty Hunter and Hitwizard departments. Classified under the Magical Law Enforcement team.
*Wizengamot
The Wizengamot is wizarding Britain's high court of law. It predates the Ministry of Magic itself, dating back to the days of the medieval Wizards' Council. Its administrative headquarters are located in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Magic, whilst the trials take place in the dungeons of the lower levels.
*Curse Breaker
A Curse-Breaker is a profession at the wizard's bank Gringotts, in which a wizard or witch disables or counters curses in ancient tombs or other historical sites, in order to bring back gold to Gringotts. It is speculated that Curse-Breakers are almost the equivalent of Muggle archaeologists.
